Ask your MP to fight the Rent Debt Crisis
Private renters have been abandoned. The Government may have promised that no one should lose their home because of the pandemic, but they continue to do nothing to reduce the mounting debt that renters are unable to pay.
We need a plan. We need a solution to this crisis. But the Government refuses to make one. And all the while, renters continue to struggle.
Families are choosing between buying food or heating their homes and paying the rent. These are choices no parent should have to make.
These families need the Government to introduce a Covid Rent Debt Fund to help the half a million renters who are in debt back on to their feet.
But rather than increasing support for renters, the Chancellor Rishi Sunak plans to make further cuts in April. He needs to hear what a mistake this would be as he prepares his next Budget.
Will you ask your MP to urge the Chancellor to end the Rent Debt Crisis?
