Letting agent fees
In the last week of November, the Government beat down an attempt in the House of Lords to ban letting agent fees to tenants through the Consumer Rights Bill.
However, the Bill is not dead. If we can get the Government to change its mind, they can still amend the Bill and banning agent fees to tenants could be the Law within months.
We'd be grateful if you could write to your MP asking them to request a meeting with Vince Cable, the Secretary of State responsible for the Bill, so we can try to convince him to ban these fees.
