Help Ban Revenge Evictions
On Friday 28th November, the MP for Christchurch Christopher Chope and the MP for Shipley Philip Davies filibustered the Revenge Evictions Bill so that it couldn't be passed into Law. Sadly, only 60 MPs turned up to support the Bill and 100 would have been needed to beat the filibuster.
But leaving stupid parliamentary rules aside, something can be done. This is about the consumer rights of tenants and there is a Consumer Rights Bill also in Parliament that this could be incorporated into. Please write to your MP demanding they insert the revenge evictions provisions into the Consumer Rights Bill.
