Tell your MP to Get Renting Done
When Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister he pledged to deliver the Conservatives 2019 manifesto promises.
That manifesto included the commitment to end Section 21 and give a ‘better deal for renters’.
Private Renters have been waiting three and a half years for this commitment to be honoured.
With so much uncertainty in the housing market, and thousands of renters facing eviction and rent arrears as rents and interest rates rise, that is unacceptable.
A White Paper, ‘A Fairer Private Rented Sector’ has been published but despire the Renters' Reform Bill being due the Parliamentary session, a date has yet to be announced.
We need MPs to know that the longer renters have to wait for renters reform and Section 21 evictions to be scrapped, more families will be uprooted from their communities, more homes will continue to crumble because the tenants are terrified to ask for repairs, and more people will burn through savings to pay for unnecessary moves.
Please ask your MP to keep the pressure on the Prime Minister to bring forward the Renters Reform Bill this Parliament as planned.
